30 Days in France

What can you do with 30 days?

A lot and also not so much.

30 days is a long time for a vacation, but when retirement is a permanent vacation you can stay until someone turns the lights out. Or your credit card gets declined.

We spent September 2023 in France with 2 weeks in Paris and 2 weeks in the south. There were many long lunches and even longer dinners with friends, wine and discussion about very important things that can only be solved by moving to France. Expos, museums, cathedrals and walking 5-6 miles per day were part of the hard work of doing exactly what we wanted to do.

After 2 weeks of hustle bustle in the City of Light, it was time to slow down just a little bit more in the south. 3 nights each in Avignon, Aix en Provence, Marseille and Nice was just enough to wander through the ancient streets and get lost a few times on purpose. As long as GPS gets you to the restaurant on time, that’s all we need it for.
